1900 MN CENSUS - Ella A. Harris, age 36, b. Apr 1864 in Ontario, is enumerated with her husband of 16 years, Albert E., age 46, occupation farmer, b. Sep 1853 in Maine, along with son Sylvester A., age 11, b. Oct 1888 in Minnesota. Also enumerated with the family is Ella's father, Thomas Marcellus, age 79, widower, b. Oct 1820 in Canada, year of immigration 1857.
DISCREPANCY - Marker gives year of birth as 1865, but DC and census record gives her year of birth as 1864;
OBITUARY: 
FUNERAL SERVICE HELD FOR MRS. ELLA HARRIS. 
Mrs. Ella Harris was buried in Pioneer cemetery Saturday morning following services in the Ringo Funeral chapel. Mrs. Harris passed away in Salem last Thursday at the age of 73 years. She had come to the United States from Canada at the age of three years, and since 1910 she had made her home in Brooks. 
She is survived by a son S.A. Harris of North Bend, Oregon, and three sisters living in the east. She was a member of the Methodist church of Brooks. For the past 50 years she had been a member of Western Star Rebekah lodge No. 63 of Lake Benton, Minnesota. 
Rev. Ralph G. Kleen of the Woodburn Methodist Church officiated at the service here Saturday. Music was by Mrs. Clyde Harris and mrs. C.V. Ashbaugh. Pallbearers were Fred S. Hall, R. J. Strike, Guy Engle, M. W. Buchanan, E. L. Rogers and Wm. Allsup.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ella A. Harris, 73, were held from the Ringo Funeral Chapel in Woodburn, Saturday morning, with Rev. Ralph G. Kleen of the Methodist church officiating. Music was by Mrs. Clyde Harris and Mrs. C. V. Ashbaugh. Pallbearers were Fred S. Hall, R. J. Strike, Guy Engle, W. M. Buchanan, E. L. Rogers and Wm. Allsup. Interment in Pioneer cemetery. 
She was born in Canada and came to the United States with her parents when she was three years old. She had lived in Brooks since 1910 and died at a Salem hospital January 27, 1938. 
Mrs. Harris is survived by her widower, Albert E. Harris of Brooks; one son, Sig A. Harris of North Bend; three sisters in the east and two grandchildren, LaVon and Alber Harris. She was a member of the Brooks Methodist church and the Western Star Rebekah Lodge No. 63 of Lake Benton, Minn.
