1930 CENSUS - Ellen Hackit, age 68, b. Scotland, year of immigration 1872, is enumerated with her brother Robert, age 73, farmer, b. Scotland, year of immigration 1872, and a newphew, Lyle Glover, age 18, occupation bank messenger, b. Minnesota.
OBITUARY: 
Funeral services for Miss Ellen Hackit, 90, were held Saturday in Salem, Interment was in the Pioneer cemetery East of Brooks.
Miss Hackit was born near Airdrie, Scotland, May 3, 1861, and came to America at the age of seven with her parents. She died Wednesday, June 6, in San Francisco, where she was residing with her grandnephew, Robert Glover. She had lived in South Dakota, and LaCrosse, Wash., before coming to Brooks 35 years ago. She resided here with a brother, the late Robert Hackit. More recently she has resided in Salem.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Anna Hasleau, 97, of Spokane, Wash., nieces, Mrs. Lizzie Ferguson of De Smit, S.D.; Mrs. Carl Reese, Meade, Wash.; Mrs. Eva Dell, Spokane, Wash.; Mrs. Grace Hackit Nicely, Seattle; nephews, William Hasleau, Montivideo, Minn.; John and William Hackit, Seattle; Grand nephew, Robert Glover of San Francisco; Lyle Glover, Vancouver, B.C.; also other grand nieces and nephews.
Pall bearers were J.F. Waller, Ray Barker, W.L. Lewis, Carl Aspinwall, J.P. Aspinwall, and Hugh Aspinwall. Dr. Chester Hamblin officiated.
