OBITUARY: William Collard, 47, life-time resident of the Brooks area, died Tuesday at his home. He had been ill with cancer for three years. Funeral arrangements are being made by W. T. Ridgon Mortuary in Salem.
Mr. Collard, a farmer in the Pioneer district, was born May 9, 1909 in Gervais. He was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren church in Clear Lake and the Odd Fellows at Gervais.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Francis R. Collard and daughter, Nancy Lou Collard, both of Brooks. His mother Mrs. Jeanine M. Collard of Salem, two sisters, Mrs. Alice Bartlett of Brooks and Mrs. Clara Watts of Silverton; and a foster sister, Mrs. Evelyn Hoxsey of Salem.
