OBITUARY: 
Marion County Dist. Atty. Gary Gortmaker said Thursday his staff was investigating the Wednesday night traffic death of Lenore Lucinda Jones, 14, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley W. Jones, Silverton Rt. 2, Box 192.
The girl was killed when the car in which she was riding collided with one driving by Olga Mae Dick, 39, of 315 S. 2nd St., Silverton, about 11:30 p.m. at Lancaster Drive and Market Street NE, on the east edge of Salem.
The Dick woman was charged with driving while intoxicated. Her case was continued in Marion County District Court until next Monday at 10 a.m. for a plea. She posted $300 bail.
Miss Jones’ father is operator of Central Howell grocery store west of Silverton.
Driver of the Jones car was listed by state police as Robert Jones, 17, brother of Lenore. Also in the auto were a sister, Diane Jones, 15; Sherri Rothenfluch, 14, of 3824 Bartlett Drive SE, Salem, and Michael Wiens, 16, of 605 N. 1st St., Silverton.
They all were given outpatient treatment at Salem Memorial Hospital for custs and bruises.
The death was the 16th in Marion County Traffic this year and the 25th in the Mid-Willamette Valley.
Funeral for Lenore will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at W.T. Rigdon mortuary, Salem. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery at Brooks.
She was born in Silverton. A graduate of Central Howell School, she was a ninth grader at Silverton Union High School.
Besides her parents she leaves brother Robert, sisters diane, Barbara Ann, and Cathy Jo, and grandmother Mrs. Katherine Crawford, all at the home address and grandmother Mrs. Blanche E. Jones of Brooks.
