1900 OR CENSUS - Ronald Jones, age 2, b. Oct 1897 in Oregon, is enumerated with Madison Jones, age 51, b. March 1849 in Indiana, and Emma, age 41, b. Aug 1858 in Oregon, along with Ilda, age 15, b. Jul 1884 in Oregon, Clara, age 12, b. Jan 1888 in Oregon, and Ellis, age 8, b. Mar 1892, in Oregon.
1930 OR CENSUS - Ronald E. Jones, age 32, married at age 24, occupation farmer, b. Oregon, is enumerated with wife Madge B., age 29, married at age 21, b. Texas, and son Ronald E. Jr., age 3, b. Oregon.
OBITUARY: 
Ronald E. Jones, Sr., 76, of 6706 Continental Circle SE, a former state legislator and a lifetime resident of the Brooks and Salem areas, died Monday of an apparent heart attack at Portland International Airport.
Jones, who was the owner of Ronald E. Jones Co. onion growers, attended high school in Salem and Oregon State University in Corvallis. He was a veteran of World War I.
He served in the legislature from 1935 to 1941 and he also was a member of the Oregon State Board of Education.
He and his widow, Madge, had lived in Brooks, where he grew onions, until moving to Salem a short time ago. They also have a residence in Honolulu, Hawaii, where Mrs. Jones was at the time of her husband’s death.
Surviving besides his widow are a son, Ronald E. Jr., a Salem realtor, and three grandchildren.
Services are pending at Rigdon-Ransom Colonial Chapel.
