OBITUARY:
Independence--Philip Partridge, 69, Rt. 1, Box 344, died Tuesday at a Salem nursing home. He was born in Moorhead, Minn., came to Monmouth in 1917 and was a graduate of Oregon State University. He operated the family business, Monmouth Brick & Tile Co., until retiring in 1956. He was a 50 year member of Kappa Sigma. Surviving ar widow Lenore; daughters Mrs. Phyliss Groves, Ukiah, Calif., and Mrs. Patricia Zimmerdahl, Monmouth; sister Mrs. Dorothy Craven, Monmouth; two grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Parmenter mortuary, Rev. Delbert Dow officiating. Interment will be in Brooks Pioneer Cemetery. The family suggests contribution to Evangelical Church of North America, Monmouth.
