OBITUARY: 
Edith J. Ellis, 58, of 1270 Capitol St. NE, died Wednesday at her Salem residence after a lengthy illness.
Born in Minnesota, she lived most of her life in the Salem area.
Survivors include her sons, Robert, Salem, and Norman L., Persacola, Fla.; daughter, Roberta Allen, Sunnyvale, Calif.; sisters, Clara Sunn [sic], Salem, Laura Parker and Betty Riggle, both Albany, Gladys Watterman, Silverton; brother, Glenn Mills, Anacortes, Wash; 12 grandchildren.
Services are pending at Barrick mortuary.
