OBITUARY: 
Services were today in Rigdon-Ransom Colonial Chapel for William Evans, 77, of 4724 Avens St. NE, a retired lumberman and a resident of Silverton for 10 years before coming here in 1958, who died Thursday. Interment was in Brooks Pioneer Cemetery.
Surviving are his widow, Frances, Salem; two daughters, Lucille Johnson, Silverton, and Donna E. Coleman; two sons, John and William; a sister, Blanche Jones, Salem; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. (uncited newspaper clipping)
