OBITUARY:
SILVERTON--Joseph Wayne Perkins, 8, of 8271 Rambler Drive NE, died Friday in a Salem hospital after he fell off his bicycle into an irrigation ditch near his home and drowned.
Born in Silverton, he attended North Howell Elementary School.
Survivors include parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. Wayne Perkins; brothers, Nathanael, Daniel, Ethan and Andrew, all at home; grandmother, Rachel Perkins, Denver, Colo.; and grandparents, Mrs. and Mrs. Elmer Babb, Salem.
Services are pending at Howell-Edwards-Doerksen mortuary.
