OBITUARY: SALEM - Geraldine M. Fiscus of Salem passed away on Wednesday, April 12, at her assisted living care home in Keizer. She went peacefully while family members sat by her side reading to her.
Geraldine was born in Longton, Kansas, the eldest daughter of Lewis K. and Medora M. (Holtsclaw) Campbell. Geraldine moved to the Willamette Valley after she was married and raised four children. She worked on farms north of Keizer and sold Avon for many years. She also worked at Triangle Home Products for several years, and later worked in the Marion County Clerk office.
Geraldine was active in several organizations associated with the Sunnyslope Christian Reformed Church. Geri loved seeing and doing things with and for her family. She especially enjoyed taking pictures, cooking and canning. She also spent lots of time in her yard and garden growing vegetables and flowers. She spent many evenings listening to her country music. Her love, hugs, and caring thoughts will be missed by all.
Survivors include sister, Mary Jane Kimball of Roseburg; brother, Gerald Campbell of Elk City, Kan.; daughter, Joyce (husband, Rick) Wescott of Tigard; daughter, Jeanie Eckley of Tualatin; sons, Dale (wife, Diane) of Keizer and Roger (wife, Debbie) of Gervais. She has nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Private viewing will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. on April 20 and funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Fri., April 21, both at the chapel of Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service. A burial service will follow at Pioneer Cemetery. A luncheon will be offered to family and friends at 2 p.m., at the Sunnyslope Christian Reformed Church fellowship hall. The family would like to thank the Sunnyslope Church for its support. Arrangements by Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
