OBITUARY: 
At his home in Turner, Oregon, June 4, 5:30 p.m., the spirit of Mr. B. W. Baker returned to its Maker. Although a sufferer of many months past the end came suddenly and quite unexpectedly.
Deceased was born in Illinois, July 12, 1832, as was 73 years 10 months and 28 days old. He came to Arkansas with his parents when a small child and in 1836 moved to Missouri, in 1837 to Iowa, and in 1862 the deceased moved to Idaho, and in 1867 located in Turner, Oregon, where he has since resided.
The deceased was married to Eliza Ethridge, who with three children – Mary E. Wheller of Lents, Or., J. W. Baker and Ida Lyons of Turner – five grandchildren and one great-grandchild survive him.
Thirty-two years ago the deceased became a member of the Southern Methodist church and was esteemed by all who knew him as an honorable upright Christian man.
