Sep 1881 in Nebraska. Also enumerated with the family is Agatha Davis, identified as mother, age 78, widowed, mother of 5 children 4 of whom are living at the time of the census, b. Jun 1821 in Pennsylvania. 
DISCREPANCY - name of father given as Lorenda on DC, as Lorence in 1900 census record.

Funeral services for Phillip Pearl Hassler, 78, who died in Salem Monday, will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in W.T. Rigdon Chapel.
Hassler was a retired printer who had worked on newspaper at Newport, Gervais and Turner. Born in Nebraska, he has lived in the Salem area more than 25 years. He died after a short illness. His residence was at 650 Locust St. Hassler was a member of Turner IOOF Lodge.
Survivors include a niece, Mrs. Arthur Sprague of Salem, and four nephews in California and one in Atlanta, Ga.
