OBITUARY: 
Donald L. Wipper, 61, of Salem died Tuesday from cancer in Portland.
Born in White Salmon, Wash., he was raised in Turner. He served in the Navy from 1955 to 1957. He graduated from Cascade High Scholl and received his doctorate of veterinarian medicine from Washington State University, practicing in Oregon for over 30 years. He was active in the Marion-Polk Veterinarians Association and was a member of the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed nature, animals, the sea, and boating.
He married Idella M. Weible Dec. 20, 1955.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Elisa A. Wipper and Connie S. Wipper, both of Salem; son Douglas A. of Turner; mother Pauline Wipper of Boise, Idaho; brother, Wallace J. of Boise, Idaho; and one grandchild.
Visiting will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the mortuary. Interment will be at Cloverdale Cemetery, Turner. Contributions: Humane Society of the Willamette Valley, PO Box 12005, Salem 97309-1005.
