OBITUARY:
ST. PAUL—Jesse DuRette, 25, 4th and Blanchett St., died Thursday in Mobile, Ala., from injuries he received Oct. 7 while he was riding a bicycle and was hit by a vehicle in a hit-and-run accident.
Born in Oregon City, he lived in Coos bay until 1972, and was a graduate of Marshfield High School. The past six months he was a missionary with the Latter-day Saints Church in Mobile. He was an elder in Keiser First Ward.
Survivors include mother, Colleen J. Passey, St. Paul; father, David W. DuRette Sr., Tigard; sisters E. Frances Hague, Gervais, Carma C. Smith, Salem, and Sandra D. DuRette, St. Paul; brothers David W. and Paul K., both Salem, and Jeffry C., Tigard; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. F. Ralph DuRette, Salem. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints and interment in Fairfield Cemetery, Gervais.
Arrangements are under direction of Virgil T. Golden mortuary.
