OBITUARY:
A FATAL FALL
A Little Boy Two Years of Age Falls From a Flight of Stairs and is Instantly Killed.
Saturday morning while the wife of Mr. John Wherm [Wehrum] living at Fairfield, was busily engaged about her morning work her little babe, aged about 2 years, managed to crawl up stairs, and while playing on the upper steps lost her [sic] balance and tumbled backwards. It fell to the floor, a distance of about twelve feet, striking square on the back of the head, crushing the skull and causing instant death.
