OBITUARY: 
Charles Henry Dillard – February 13, 1918 – February 12, 2001
STAYTON — Charles Dillard, 82, died Feb. 12 as a result of burns from a Jan. 21 fire.
He was born in Scio and graduated from Stayton High School in 1936. He worked for the Oregon State Highway Department for more than 40 years and lived in Salem for many years. He was a building contractor in Salem. He retired and moved to a century farm in Stayton 30 years ago and enjoyed raising cattle. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners. He married Edith Culbertson in 1940; she died in 1991.
Survivors include his wife, Sparrow, whom he married in 1998; daughter, Sharon Bolen of Albany; sister, Helen Bulkley of Salem; stepchildren, Kelly Smart, Justin Round and Carlie Buckles; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Celebration of life will be 1-4 p.m. March 4 at the home of his daughter, 3205 Davidson SE, Albany. Arrangements are by Heritage Memorial. Contributions: Hobson/Whitney Cemetery Inc., or Legacy Emanuel Burn Center, Portland.
