OBITUARY: 
SALEM - Frank Clark Bersin was born in Salem on July 22, 1934 to Raymond and Dixie (Clark) Bersin. He lived most of his life in the area. Frank graduated in 1952 from Central High School in Independence. Frank was a U. S. Marine Veteran of the Korean War. Frank and Frances 'Fran' were married July 14, 1956 in Reno, Nev. He worked for several paving companies and from 1970 to 1984 he owned and operated Pacific Road and Driveway. He had worked for H & H Paving for the past five years as an estimator. He was a member of the Silverton Elks, the Silverton First Christian Church, served as a past board member for the Silverton Hospital and was presently a member of the Board of Directors of the Silverton Fire Department. He enjoyed his family and grandchildren, hunting, fishing, yard work and especially visiting and joking with his many friends.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Bersin of Silverton; sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and Sandy Bersin of Silverton and Ronald and Tammy Bersin of Keizer; son, Roger Bersin of Keizer; sister, Pat Allen of Salem; nieces, Desiree Allen of Seattle, Wash. and Michelle Hofstetter of Salem; and grandchildren, Austin, Bailey, Brittney, Sydney, Casey and Charlene.
Visitation will be from 9a.m. to 8 p.m. Fri., Dec. 6 at Unger Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Sat., Dec. 7 at First Christian Church in Silverton. Interment will follow services at Lewis Cemetery in Silverton. Suggested contributions are the Silverton Hospital Foundation and the Silverton Fire Department. Statesman Journal 3 Dec 2002
