OBITUARY:
ALBANY - Catherine Mary Hofstetter was born to Christian and Mary (Roth) Hofstetter on September 24, 1930 at Silverton, Ore. and died May 25, 2004 at Salem Hospital.
She attended Valley View Grade School, Western Mennonite High School and graduated from Oregon State College in Corvallis in 1965 with a B.S. degree in Social Science. She was a member of Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society. She was employed for over 40 years at the Mennonite Retirement Home in Albany, Ore. serving as food services supervisor and dietician among other duties.
Preceding her in death were her parents and brother, Merlin of Omaha, Neb. Survivors include brothers, Donald of Hood River, Ore. and Ralph and Harold, both of Silverton, Ore.
Memorial services will be held at Barrick Funeral Home, 205 Church St., S.E., Salem, on Wed., June 9, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. with her pastor John Weldon of Albany officiating. Private interment has already taken place at Lewis Cemetery in Silverton, near her childhood home.
She requested that contributions be made to Faith Bible Church, P.O. Box 712, Albany, OR 97321 in her memory.
