OBITUARY:
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Memorial Chapel of the Ekman Funeral Home for Mrs. Rosetta Parrish, who died suddenly at her home on Star Route, Sunday morning. The Reverend I. M. Nelson officiated and interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Parrish, who had been in poor health for some time, and her husband, had spent the evening Saturday at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Mulkey, feeling much better than usual. She and her husband had gone home about 10:30. Mrs. Parrish awoke about 3:30 Sunday morning with a severe pain in her chest and in a few minutes had died.
She was born on May 25, 1883 at Walterville in Lane County, Oregon and had made her home in the Silverton community since 1927. The Parrishes celebrated their golden wedding anniversary a number of years ago.
Surviving are her husband, Walter E. Parrish, a daughter, Mrs. Grace E. Mulkey, two grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
