OBITUARY: 
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Barrick Funeral Home for John Clinton Jones, 86, of 1065 Clear Lake Road N. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Jones died in a Silverton hospital Friday, five days after suffering a heart attack at his home. He was born on the Griffith donation land claim east of Salem. In 1919 he married Mabel Volkmar, and until recently they lived on a farm near his birthplace.
He was a member of Knight Memorial United Church of Christ and later of the Pratum Methodist Church. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving are his widow; a brother, Clifford T. Jones, and a sister, Bess E. Jones, all of Salem.
