1930 OR CENSUS - M. Beryl Ottoway [sic], age 17, b. Oregon, is enumerated with father Miles V., age 47, first married at age 28, occupation repairer and painter. b. Iowa, and Wynola F., age 38, first married at age 17, b. Oregon. Also enumerated with the family is Timothy B. Allen, identified as father-in-law [of Miles], age 76, widowed, first married at age 27, b. Oregon. [Wynola Allen and Miles V. Ottaway were married in Washington Co., Oregon in 1909 according to the Oregon Marriage Index]
OBITUARY: 
Silverton – Mary Riches, 84, died Tuesday in Mount Angel. Born in Silverton, she lived there all her life. She taught violin and played with the Salem and Portland symphonies. She was active in the Silverton Grange and on the Silverton Cemetery Board. She was a member of Silverton United Methodist Church and enjoyed Willard Women’s Club.
Survivors include her daughter, Janie Attridge of Silverton; two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Interment will be 11 a.m. today in Mt. Hope Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. at the church. Arrangements are by Unger Mortuary.

"She was also active in the Silverton Grange, particularly the home education department. She is survived by her daughter, Janie Attridge of Silverton; grandchildren, Suzanne Bowen of Bothell, Wash., and Bill Grier of Spokane, Wash.; two step-grandchildren, Lynda Burton of Gig Harbor, Wash., and Ben Attridge of Los Angeles; and three great-grandchildren, Haley, Hunter, and Hanna Burton of Gig Harbor, Wash.
