OBITUARY: 
Woman Falls 3 Stories – Police Say Seriously Injured. Victim Was Intoxicated – Mary Givines, age 30, suffered serious injuries yesterday afternoon when she fell from a window three stories to the ground at 170 Union Avenue. She was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital by the Ambulance Service Company in an unconscious condition and may die. Assistant City Physician Savoie hurried to the scene immediately following the accident and he reports that she sustained a fracture of the skull, a cut on the left arm and severe [bruises ?] on the right arm. He said that she may have also suffered internal injuries. The woman was intoxicated at the time of the accident, according to officers. Dr. Savoie said that she had a bottle of whiskey in her stocking. Her fall was broken by quantities of (?) between the two buildings at that place or she would probably have been killed.

Woman Seriously Hurt – In a serious condition at the St. Vincent’s Hospital, Mary Givines aged 30 years, may die as a result of injuries received late yesterday afternoon when she fell from a window three stories to the ground at 170 Union Avenue. Assistant City Physician Savoie reported that she had received a fractured jaw and a bad cut on the right arm. She is still unconscious at the hospital and it is believed her skull is fractured.

Fall Results in Death of Woman – Injuries received by Mrs. C. W. Kirk when she fell three stories from the window of a rooming house on Belmont Street, caused her death from a fractured skull at St. Vincent’s Hospital this morning at 3 o’clock. No inquest will be held.
