At the home of his parents in the Waldo Hills, on Monday, July 13, 1885, Howard B. Hunt, aged 24 years, of quick consumption.
Mr. Hunt was born in the Waldo Hills district, where he has since resided, except during two or three years spent near Oakland, in Douglas County. He married one of Douglas County’s daughters in 1881, who went East last year to visit her relatives and died there a few hours after her arrival at their home. Howard was a very intelligent young man, and was much respected as a citizen. Besides his parents, he leaves two sisters, and a number of relatives and a host of friends who unite in mourning his loss. He was buried yesterday in the Hunt burying ground near his father’s home. May he rest in peace.
