May 1900 in Oregon. Also enumerated is Emily Miller, identified as mother [of Francis M.], age 65, widowed, b. Jun 1834 in Illinois.

OBITUARY: 
Francis Miller Funeral Today --- Victor Point.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. for Francis M. Miller, Sr., at Silverton, with interment in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Survivors are his widow, three daughters, Mrs. Hazel Jones of The Dalles, Mrs. Faye Verbeck of Monmouth, Mrs. Amy Rice of Yacolt, Wash.; five sons, Iris of Silverton, Marion of Victor Point, Lynn of Dallas, Charles and Arden of Yacolt, Wash., and several grandchildren.
Miller was 84 years of age and was a member of the first school board when the school district here was organized 50 years ago last month.

Death Claims Pioneer Man.
Silverton - One of western Oregon's oldest native sons, F. M. Miller, 84, for the past number of years a resident of Silverton, died at the family home Tuesday afternoon, following several months of illness. Mr. Miller was born at Wells Station of pioneer parents, September 11, 1855. His father was Isaac and his mother Emily Miller, pioneers of 1852. The family later moved to the Victor Point district near Silverton where they have been prominent in the farming interests of the county for many years.
On December 17, 1890, Miller was married to Jennie Ramp, who survives him. Besides 15 grandchildren, three daughters and five sons also survive. These are Hazel Jones of The Dalles, Faye Verbeck of Dallas, and Amy Rice of Yacolt, Wash., sons Lynn of Dallas, Arden and Charles of Yacolt, Marion of Victor Point, and Iris of Silverton.
Services were conducted from the Memorial chapel of the Ekman Funeral Home today, Rev. Frank Wallace Zook, officiating, and interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Pall-bearers were Jake Doerfler, Elmer King, W. F. Krenz, J. O. Darby, Clarence Jones and James Cornutt.
