OBITUARY: 
Sublimity – Roland Merle Carnine, 75, died Wednesday in Sublimity.
He was born in Osceola, Neb. He came to Oregon in 1949. He came to Sublimity from Salem in 1977. He was a maintenance man for the Salem School District for 17 years. He married Opal in Wilder, Idaho, in 1932. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Larry G. of Springfield and Phillip T. “Tony” of Salem; brother Gail of Central Point; sisters Thelma Watson of Minnesota, Delores Asse of Lincoln City and Gladys Lyon of Portland.
Graveside services will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday in Mount Hope Cemetery, Salem. Weddle Mortuary, Stayton, is handling arrangements.
