OBITUARY:
Tualatin – Nancy Proo, 45, formerly of Mount Angel, died Monday.
Born in Indiana, she moved to the Willamette Valley in 1991. She taught children with disabilities and was an artist. Her interests included oil painting and training horses.
Survivors include daughters, Audrey and Michelle Schilz, both of Portland; stepson, Robert Schilz of San Clemente, Calif.; parents Patrick and Cynthia Schmitz of Mount Angel; sisters, Tina Schweickert of Silverton and Cheryl Imlay of San Marino, Calif.; and brothers, Jack McGinley of Claremont, Calif., and Shannon McGinley of Burbank, Calif.
Services will be private. Private interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery east of Salem. Arrangements are by Unger Mortuary, Mount Angel. Contributions: Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, Portland.
