1860 OR CENSUS - Mary Clymer, age 4, b. Oregon, is enumerated with Henry, age 36, occupation farmer, b. Indiana, and May, age 34, b. Ohio, along with Sarah, age 8, Morgan, age 7, George, age 5, and Julia age 1, all born in Oregon.
1870 OR CENSUS - Mary Clymer, age 14, b. Oregon, is enumerated with Mary Clymer, age 42, b. Ohio, along with Elbriger, age 17, George, age 16, Julia, age 11, Eugene, age 9, Julian, age 9, and Henry, age 7, all born in Oregon
MARRIAGE - "E. M. Blackerby, over 21 & Mary F. M. Clymer, over 18, m 6 Nov 1878 at house of Mrs. CLymer; T. H. Small, M. G. Wit: J. W. Short & H. Warren. Aff. A. L. Blackerby #2219 pg 501"; BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE (From Hellie, Mader & Rickey): “Elza M. Blackerby was married to Mary F.M. Clymer on November 6, 1878, in Marion Co. by Rev. Thomas Henderson Small. Elza and Mary had a child, Mary E. Vance Blackerby, in November of 1879. Mary C.V. Blackerby, age 6 months, is living with the Sylvanus Condit family in 1880 and is noted as being “raised.” Mary’s father, Elzy Blackerby, is living with the Thomas Riches family, without a wife, age 29. Elza Blackerby married again in March 1881 to (?), according to Daraleen Wade. She states that family tradition indicates that Elza’s first wife, Mary, was buried in the Mt. Hope Cemetery and that she probably died about November 1879, probably as the result of childbirth. Mary’s mother, widow Mary Clymer (who taught school at the Spaulding Mission), is living quite close by in the Sublimity precinct in the 1880 census. She is the head of an extended family that includes her own mother, Elizabeth Johnson, age 77."
OBITUARY: 
DIED - Tuesday, December 9, 1879, at her residence near Silverton, Mrs. Mary Blackerby, formerly Miss Mary Clymer, and wife of Mr. Elza Blackerby. She left a little babe six weeks old. Mr. Blackerby has many warm friends who sympathize with him and his little child in their loss.
