Jul 1859 in Oregon, along with T. Eva, age 18, b. Sep 1881 in Oregon, and Mary J., age 14, b. Aug 1885 in Oregon. Also enumerated with the family is a boarder named Thomas Taylor, age 23, b. Oregon;
1930 OR CENSUS - Genevieve L. Mader, age 32, married at age 23, b. Oregon, is enumerated with husband Albert J. Mader, age 36, married at age 28, occupation farmer, b. Oregon, along with Howard A., age 5, b. Oregon, and Donald B., age 2, b. Oregon;
OBITUARY: 
Genevieve L. Mader, 88, of Salem, died Sunday. She was born and died in the same home in Waldo Hills of the Macleay area east of Salem. She was a descendant of three pioneer families who settled in the Waldo Hills area in 1847 to 1848. The families were John Downing, William T. Patton and John S. Hunt. She was a member of the Macleay Grange No. 293, and was active in the Marion County Historical Society and the Oregon Women for Agriculture. Surviving are her sons, Donald B. Mader and Howard A. Mader, both of Waldo Hills.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Virgil T. Golden Mortuary, Salem, and interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Salem.
Contributions may be made to the Macleay Grange Memorial Fund or to a charity of your choice.

Services were held last week in Salem for Genevieve L. Mader who died Feb. 25 at her home. She was 88. Born May 18, 1898, in Waldo Hills, she is a descendent of three pioneer families that settled there in 1847-1848. The families were those of John Downing, William T. Patton, and John F. Hunt.
She was a member of the Macleay Grange for 60 years and active with Oregon Women for Agriculture, the Marion County Historical Society and numerous other local organizations.
Survivors include sons, Howard Mader and Donald B. Mader, both of Waldo Hills; three grandsons and one great grandson.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Macleay Grange Memorial Fund, c/o Virgil T. Golden Mortuary, or to a charity of your choice.”
