OBITUARY: 
Walter Pruden Dies – Word has been received of the death of Walter F. Pruden, for many years a resident of Portland. Mrs. Pruden is the former Olive Peeples Alice (Alice Peebles), formerly of Salem and daughter of a pioneer family. He is also survived by two sisters. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in the Waldo Hills Friday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock.

Walter F. Pruden of 3104 N.E. Schuyler Street, former superintendent of the Rose City postal station, died Wednesday. Pruden was born March 4, 1874, in Canyon City and came to Portland in 1906 to work for the Post Office department. He retired six years ago because of ill health. He is survived by his wife, Alice, and two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Smith and Mrs. O. L. LeFever, both of Portland. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday at the Lundberg Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the Mount Hope Cemetery near Silverton. (uncited newspaper clipping)
