1880 OH CENSUS - Bertha Ludy [sic], age 2, b. New Jersey, is enumerated with father Peter Ludy [sic], age 43, b. Switzerland, and [mother] Margaret, age 33, b. Switzerland, along with Rosa, age 13, b. Switzerland, Sicel [sic], age 6, b. New Jersey, Anna, age 4, b. New Jersey, and Emma, age 3 months, b. Ohio.
1900 OR CENSUS - Bertha E. Luthy, age 22, single, occupation dry goods saleswoman, b. Oct 1877 in New Jersey, is enumerated as a boarder in the home of Frank & Lizzie Howley.
OBITUARY: 
Funeral is pending in Barrick Funeral Home for Miss Bertha E. Luthy, 75, who died Thursday in a Salem nursing home where she lived for the last 2½ years.
She lived in Seaside for 20 years before coming to Salem. Miss Luthy was an army nurse during World War I. Survivors include a brother, Edward Luthy, Salem, and three sisters, Miss Anna M. Luthy and Mrs. Florence King, both of Salem, and Mrs. Helen L. DuRette, Gervais.
