OBITUARY: 
Sublimity – Opal Geneva Carnine, 77, died Thursday in Sublimity. She was born in Corbin, Kan., and lived in Salem for many years before moving to Sublimity in 1977. She was a psychiatric aide for the state for 17 years. She was a member of Turner Free Methodist Church, and she enjoyed crafts.
She married Roland Carnine on Oct. 23, 1932, in Wilder, Idaho. He died in 1988.
She is survived by her sons, Larry and Tony, both of Salem; brother, Troy Vance of Caldwell, Idaho; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday in Mount Hope Cemetery, east of Salem. Arrangements are by Weddle Mortuary, Stayton.
