Patricia Ann Carnine

SALEM - Born in Seattle, Wash. to Andrew and Ruby Etzel. She moved to Salem in 1944 and graduated with the class of 1958 from South Salem High School. She married Phillip Carnine on June 21, 1957. His Air Force career allowed them to live in Louisiana, California, Puerto Rico, North Dakota, Washington State and Guam. She worked as a cook for The School for the Blind from 1977 until retirement on July 1, 2003. Phillip preceded Patricia in death in August of 2002.
She is survived by her sons, Bruce Carnine of Dallas; Rob Carnine of Salem; daughter, Jackie Hamm of Salem; brother, Larry Etzel of Salem; sister, Judith Messman of Salem; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Services, 11:00 a.m., Sat., Dec. 13 at Unger Funeral Chapel, Silverton. Interment following service at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Salem.
