Headings, 13, of Salem died Wednesday in Salem. He was born in Silverton and grew up in the Victor Point area. He attended Victor Point School and College Park Christian Academy, where he was an honor student. He enjoyed basketball and played the trumpet. He was an active member of the youth group at College Park Christian Assembly Church. Survivors include his parents, Robert and Christina, brothers, Daniel and Andrew, and sister, Sarah, all of Salem; grandparents, James and Vella Birch, and Carl and Eleanor Jackson, all of Silverton, and Joycelene Headings of Salem; and great grandmother Pernila Headings of Hubbard. Visiting will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Virgil T. Golden Mortuary. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
