He was a mill worker in Longview, Wash. He married Maybelle Evans in 1972 in Stayton. He was a mason and a Shriner. Survivors include his sisters, Dora Dozler of Stayton and Florence Church of Roseburg; and stepdaughter, Bess Bresee of Oregon City. Graveside services will begin at 1 p.m. today in Mount Hope Cemetery, Sublimity. Arrangements are by Virgil T. Golden mortuary, Salem. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
