OBITUARY: 
T. B. Funston.
Thomas Benson Funston, born Feb. 17, 1849, at Proviso, Cook county, Ill., died at the home of his son, A. Scott Funston, R. 8. Portland, December 19, aged 91 years 10 months. Until he went to live with his son four years ago he had for many years been a resdient of Marion county, having operated his farm near Turner. To his friends he was familiarly know as "Uncle Ben." Besides his son he is survived by two granddaughters, Mrs. Heige Danielson of Amber, Wash., and Mrs. A. N. Drawson of Salem; grandson H.E. Funston of Portland; three great grandchildren; sister, Mrs. A.J.D. Cornelius of Colfax, Wash. Funeral services will be in charge of W. E. Pegg Funeral home in Beaverton at the Methodist church in Turner at 1 p.m. Monday, December 23 with Rev. W. Gillespie officiating. Interment in Pleasant Grove cemetery.

TURNER - Dec. 29 (Special) – Funeral services were held in the Methodist church here last week for Thomas Benton Funston, 91, who died at the home of his son, Scott Funston, in Portland on December 19. He was a cousin of General Funston, commander of the expeditionary force in Mexico just prior to the first world war. Mr. Funston had lived on a farm near Turner for many years. Interment was in the pioneer Pleasant Grove cemetery.
